Marketing Department (Design Team in Cape Town)
Reports to:
Group Head of Design
Purpose:
To translate marketing concepts into compelling visual assets – such as advertisements, branding, web graphics, and print materials – that will enhance WSB’s brand identity, captivate consumers, drive sales and ensure visual consistency across all platforms and support marketing campaigns.
Essential Functions:
• Assisting with the day-to-day design duties of the company;
• Working with the content team on social media design requirements;
• Working with the content team on online website promotions and daily design requirements;
• Assisting on weekends with emergency design requests from the operations team;
• Assisting the Group Head of Design/Group Marketing Operations Manager with overflow work for large scale designs including but not limited to Billboards, Social Media designs, Website designs, Branded Collateral designs etc;
• Ensuring all designs are done in line with the company brand guide and CI.
Skills, knowledge and other requirements:
• Strong attention to thoroughness and detail;
• Working experience in multimedia/digital design (Print & Web);
• Working experience with the Adobe range: Photoshop/Illustrator/InDesign;
• Must be able to interpret briefs and develop creative artworks;
• Excellent organizational skills;
• Ability to respond appropriately to unexpected challenges and shifting priorities;
• Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously;
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills;
• Ability to manage and handle strict deadlines and tight schedules.
Requirements: Experience, Education and Other:
• Grade 12 (matric certificate required);
• Tertiary education – Formal qualification in Graphic Design (an advantage);
• 1-2 years’ experience in a same or similar role is preferred;
• Previous experience in a betting company (advantageous).
