Reports to:
Risk Manager
Purpose:
To assist the Risk Department with day-to-day functions of analyzing clients’ accounts, fraud other syndicate play.
Essential Functions:
• Monitoring of syndicates and preventing ill-gotten funds from leaving the business;
• Reviewing and assessing of clients’ accounts;
• Auditing of Retail FIC threshold tickets;
• Ensuring no abuse of free bet vouchers and internal systems;
• Monitoring of back offices, to ensure correct information is reported;
• SAN/PEP and DPPIP checks;
• Assisting other departments with general/risk related queries;
• Manual reviewing of First Deposit Bonus and Welcome Bonus upon clients’ request;
• Monitoring of all Risk related groups and exercising best practice’s to ensuring zero handover;
• Reviewing and actioning of Self Exclusion Notices received by the GGB and WCGRB.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Other Requirements:
• Good command of English language (read, speak and write);
• Able to focus for extended periods of time;
• Able to manage time effectively;
• Willingness to assist;
• Ability to respond appropriately to unexpected challenges and shifting priorities;
• Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously;
• Basic understanding of FICA;
• Basic knowledge and understanding in placing of horse racing and sports bets.
Requirements: Experience, Education and Other:
• Grade 12 (matric certificate required);
• Tertiary education (an advantage);
• 2 years’ experience in a similar role is preferred.
